The Golden Notebook is very familiar to the West and eastern students. It is the bible of the western feminism. Feminism is a perpetuate theme in our world. A lot of scholars or experts have studied the feminism of this famous book, but there are still a lot of differences and uncertainty between their upshots. I want to show you this article of my own opinion. The Golden Notebook overthrows the conception of feminist lower position. It is the critical turning point of exploring the feminism and understanding the Golden Notebook better.

The article is mainly to study the feminism of the book, The Golden Notebook written by Loris Lessing. I will study this theme through Doris Lessing and the Golden Notebook, feminism and the development as well as the feminism in The Golden Notebook.

The critical problem I try to solve is making people understand this book better and acknowledge the development of feminism.

In the western world, a lot of researchers have studied this theme. For example, Kate Winick argues that the feminism Yup, I said it. In our country, Ou Yamei argued how Doris Lessing in the Golden Notebook has given voice to feminist concerns through her major protagonist: Anna Wulf. The article specifically looks at how Anna challenges patriarchal conventions and choose to express herself through writing initially considered to be the sole preserve of men. The article used the feminist literary theory as the main instrument for analysis. In 2012,Wang Yen believed that the novel#8217;s theme, structure, characters, narrative style serve well for the aim of feminist interpretation. The thesis also innovatively discusses the challenges to feminism reflected from The Golden Notebook.

I read this book for several times. I found that the feminism of this book is very confusing. Every time I finished this book I would record my thoughts .Then, I looked for some researchers#8217; outcomes of this theme and analyzed the differences between their results and mine. Finally, I got the ideas of feminism of the Golden Notebook.

The article will show you the feminism through 3 main parts---- Doris Lessing and the Golden Notebook, feminism and the development as well as the feminism in The Golden Notebook.
